Byeongmoon LeePrincipal InvestigatorAssistant Professor / May 2024 - current
Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST) Prof. Byeongmoon Lee received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from Seoul National University (SNU) under the supervision of Prof. Yongtaek Hong. In August 2020, he joined Dr. Seungjun Chung's group at the Soft Hybrid Materials Research Center, Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). In January 2023, he moved to Stanford University and worked at Bao Group as a Post-Doc researcher. In May 2024, he joined EECS at DGIST as an Assistant Professor. His research mainly focuses on ways to assemble multifunctional nanocomposites into intelligent soft electronic devices in customizable and scalable manners. Based on additive manufacturing and bottom-up approaches, he developed a variety of soft electronic devices with unprecedented form factors that affect the ways of signal/energy transfer. They include skin displays, soft robots, skin-integrated multimodal sensors, and skin-conformable thermoelectrics, which are, in turn, interfaced with machine learning for advanced human-electronics interfaces.
